ART IN MIND

Welcome to ART IN MIND a creative arts project for Inside Out CommunityArts in Mental Health.

Over the past 10 years Inside Out Community has established an innovative and effective Arts in Mental Health Resource covering Ipswich and the srrounding area.

Our aim is to offer people a creative pathway to a more sustained state of wellbeing, meaningfulness and a sense of social inclusion through the arts.

LATEST NEWS

Art In Mind has just been awarded a grant to run nine more courses from September 2012 to July 2013.

The funding has come from Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Fund which is administered by Community Learning and Skills Development, part of Realise Futures CIC.

Thank you to the funders for recognising the value of this project and for all their help and support.

Details of new courses will be available soon.

The Long Shop Museum

During April and May Art In Mind ran a six week course in Leiston, at the wonderful Long SHop Museum.  The museum is home to the Garrett collection and stands in the original 19th Century works site of Richard Garrett and Sons, once world famous manufacturers of steam engines and agricultural machinery.

Below are some of the work produced by the group in response to the varied artefacts in the museum and to the buildings and environment of the museum.
